Welcome to Soul Sweet — a handmade brand built from love, creativity, and a journey that actually started long before Soul Sweet had a name.
As a single mother, I wanted to create an extra source of income for myself and my children. I also wanted to find something that was just mine — a hobby, a creative outlet, something I could enjoy while building something meaningful.
And then I discovered sewing.
I got hooked.
But the funny thing is, sewing wasn't really new to me.
When I was growing up, my mother had a sewing business where she made school uniforms. I remember watching her spend hours sitting behind her sewing machine, working hard and turning pieces of fabric into something useful.
At the time, I didn't pay much attention to it.
Now, every time I sit behind my own sewing machine, I think about her.
In a way, Soul Sweet is also a little piece of my mother's story continuing through me.
Why Soul Sweet?
The name Soul Sweet is deeply personal to me.
Life can take us through rough streets, difficult seasons and experiences that shape us. But I believe that no matter what life puts us through, there can still be sweetness within us.
My soul is sweet.
And I want that sweetness to be felt in everything I create.
From the moment I choose a fabric, to measuring, cutting, sewing, adding the zipper and putting together the finishing touches, I put a little piece of myself into every product.

There when I found the fabric.
There when I was deciding which colours would work together.
There when I measured and cut the pieces.
There when I sat behind my sewing machine figuring things out.
There through every stitch, every little mistake, every correction and finally...
the finished product.
I want every Soul Sweet piece to feel like a warm hug.

Our Dream
Soul Sweet is starting small, but the dream is BIG.
One day, I see Soul Sweet growing into a business that employs 20+ people, especially women and single mothers who are trying to create better lives for themselves and their children.
I want to create opportunities for women who have talent and potential but may not have had the opportunity to develop their skills.
I want Soul Sweet to become a place where women can learn, create, earn an income and realise:
"I can build something too."
Because this isn't just about sewing bags or making scrunchies.
It's about creating opportunities, building confidence and changing lives — one stitch at a time.
